Strike a Balance Between Style and Comfort Master Long Hair Up-Dos
Here, we introduce two hair stylings for long hair, which are both best suited for running, with your hair neatly tied up in a fashionable way, so why don’t you give them a go!
≪Useful Tips≫ Get ready for a cute look! Pre-styling tricks
Curl the hair ends lightly to add a nuance to your ponytail and create a fashionable image. All you have to do is simply make inward and outward curls at random with wide-barrel curling thongs. It’s also important to apply a styling agent such as hair wax, etc. thoroughly before styling. That helps you collect and arrange long hair more easily.
1. Look Fabulous with Loose Twists! Twist Ponytail
Ponytail, a classic hairstyle for long hair, can look gorgeous by adding a few touches. As the loose hairs along the hairline are twisted with the side hair, this style creates a neat yet fashionable look. The lightly curled ponytail sways as you run and creates a feminine image. This is the ultimate hair style, a perfect look from any direction and angle!
1.Apply a styling agent evenly throughout the hair. Leave some side hair and pull up the rest at the back, making a ponytail slightly above the temples for a good balance. Pinch some hairs out at the top to create a nice shape.
Mr. Shinotsuka advises: “The side hair is divided into two sections to twist, so part appropriately according to your hair volume. When you make a ponytail, keep your chin slightly up so that you can gather the hair from the nape of your neck upwards neatly.”
2.Part the side hair into the upper and lower sections and twist each section. Bring them towards the knot of the ponytail and secure with bobby pins. The ends of the twisted sections will be wrapped around the knot so you can leave them untwisted.
Mr. Shinotsuka advises: “By placing a bobby pin in the same direction as you twist, you can secure the twist in place with just one bobby pin. This time, I twisted downward so I placed the pin downward to hold the twist.” (Picture)
3.Wrap the untwisted ends around the knot of the ponytail and secure in place with bobby pins. That’s it!
2. Foolproof Braided Low Ponytail
Take advantage of long hair and try this voluminous French braid style. Many girls find French braids difficult but this kind of loose pull-through braid is easy even if you are all thumbs. In addition, this time we go for a low ponytail with the ends unbraided, so it’s even easier to try.
1.Section out a good portion of hair behind the ears on both sides and braid the rest of the hair at the back.
2.Hold the braid with one hand and pinch out some hair strands, adding volume in each braid segment and creating a fluffy 3D image.
3.Part the side hair into two sections, cross them over each other and bring them towards the knot at the back.
4.Wrap the crossed side hair around the knot of the braid and secure with bobby pins to finish!
Mr. Shinotsuka advises: “Once you crossed the side hair and brought it to the knot, pull some hair out to add a nuance. It is easy to secure the side hair around the knot by placing the side hair under the knot and wrapping around the knot upward. This helps you gather the hair at the nape of your neck neatly and keep you neck free from any flyaways.”
